• Soil-Grapes can be cultivated in variety of soils including sandy loams, sandy clay loams, red sandy soils, shallow to medium black soils and red loams. The soil should be well drained.
• Water-Water salinity with EC, less than 1 dS/m is considered excellent for under grapes average vineyard management.
• Sunlight-Grapevines do best with full sun about 7 or 8 hours per day. Less light leads to lower fruit production, poorer fruit quality, increased powdery mildew, and fruit rot.
• Fertilizer-Urea (46-0-0) at 2 to 3 ounces (1/2 cup) or bloodmeal (12-0-0) at 8 ounces (1 ½ cups) per vine will supply the desired amounts of nitrogen.
